Introduction to Trail Riding - Arena and Farm Experience

Perfect for the complete Beginner rider! The Introduction to Trail Riding, combines an approximate 30 minute riding lesson, followed by a 60 minute trail ride at Woodlands Lodge stables and farm. You'll be riding across the lodge farm land, where you can experience the serenity of being amid animals and nature, whilst enjoying the scenic city views! A truly nurturing experience! Please note that groups can be up to 15 participants and this is a BEGINNER ride which will only be conducted at a walk.

THINGS TO NOTE: 

1. Wear long pants and covered shoes such as runners/sneakers or boots. Inappropriate clothing will result in forfeit of the session.

2. We can provide helmets (limited sizes available). Wearing a current Australian standard safety horse riding helmet is compulsory. If you require a customised helmet for any reason, you will need to advise Woodlands if anything can be arranged, otherwise you will have to provide this yourself. Not being able to wearing a helmet will result in forfeit of the session.

3. Arrival time is 10:30am for check-in to ensure all documents have been signed, trail group will be collected shortly after for briefing and mounting, ride will leave at approximately 11am. Delays may occur if participants are nervous and may take longer to mount which may shorten riding time. Dismount time is also included in session time. Latecomers of more than 15 minutes will result in forfeit of the session. 

4. Horses and ponies are allocated based on availability, experience, height and weight. Any special requests may not be guaranteed for safety of the session.

5. Instructors will take photos and/or videos and can be downloaded via a link emailed to you automatically after each session within 48 hours. Lockers will be available, otherwise leave your belongings in your vehicle as no loose items or phones will be allowed in pockets during the tour.

6. No spectators will be allowed to enter the riding area. There is no pedestrian walking trail on our private farm property. We offer pony rides for younger children and private NDIS equine assisted sessions if the participant requires a support worker or guardian present.

7. Our current maximum weight limit is 80kg. We hold a duty of care to the, health, well-being and safety of both horse and horse activity participant. We do have limited horses that can carry up to 90kg, please enquire with your exact weight and date preferred for availability. There is no guarantee of availability.
