50min Private Lesson - 10 Session Term

Learn to horse and ride for an entire 10 sessions with your very own private instructor! It's never too early or late to learn! Our private sessions are suitable for ages 3 years through to adult. You'll be offered diversity in your learning experiences with us and will be customised to your agreed learning requirements. Your term sessions consist of both unmounted and mounted horsemanship, with exposure to both English and Western riding disciplines. Please note the sessions continue throughout the school holidays, except evening lessons (request to move them to the day time is possible with advance notice), and unless surcharge is paid and requested no lessons will run on public holidays.

Your first one on one sessions will include an assessment of your competency. Based on this assessment, you will begin progressing through a learning curriculum designed to develop your confidence and competence both around horses and in the saddle! Each session will consist of learning basic horsemanship, how to tack up your own horse, mount independently followed by a riding lesson. Each session may not include a full 50 minute riding session depending on instructor and student's learning goals. During wet weather/bad weather days, we may opt for theory or ground work lessons. It's all part of learning about horses!

**Please email us before booking to confirm availability, as we already have term students booked out for the year, and they have priority over the slots available when renewing their packages. Your chosen time may not be available on a regular basis.

THINGS TO NOTE: 

1. The 1st selected time will be the same time every week unless otherwise requested in the special requirements, subject to availability. The time may only be available for the 1st week if a current student is away. You will receive weekly automated reminder emails with the dates, please refer to this to keep track of your package expiring. It will be your responsibility to contact us to renew your package. Please note the sessions continue throughout the school holidays, except evening lessons from 4pm (request to move them to the day time is possible with advance notice), and unless surcharge is paid and requested no lessons will run on public holidays. 

2. If your regular instructor is away, a replacement instructor will be arranged. 

3. Booking changes or postponement must be sent in writing to bookings@woodlands.melbourne with at least 24 hours notice, otherwise the session will be forfeited. Packages are to be used within 6 months unless otherwise specified, additional fees may apply to extend the package.

4. Wear long pants and riding boots. Term students must purchase a Woodlands polo - don't forget to add it to cart.

5. You will need to purchase your own Australian standard safety horse riding helmets.

6. Arrival time is 15 minutes prior to session time. Latecomers of more than 15 minutes will result in forfeit of the session.

7. No spectators will be allowed to enter the riding area.

8. Package discounts only apply to full upfront payment. Payment must be made within 48 hours otherwise all future bookings will be cancelled and opened up to our waiting list. The term commitment guarantees our clients a spot in their regular class. If term sessions need to be invoiced individually, this attracts a $7.00 administrative management fee.

**IMPORTANT: For bookings with less than a day notice or same day bookings, please call ahead to confirm availability (Office Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm). No guarantee of availability if no advance bookings have been made, as bookings normally require more than 24 hours notice so that we can arrange suitable horses and sufficient staffing. Public holiday surcharges apply.**Please note the address in the confirmation email and ensure the Smart Waiver is signed prior to attendance.
