Learn to ride with Woodlands Riding School! We will help you develop confidence and competency in the saddle, so that you can enjoy general horse riding activities! It's never too early or late to learn! Suitable for 3 years of age through to adult! This session will be facilitated in groups of up to 3-4 riders per coach. All group participants will be matched with similar learning abilities. By attending a general lesson, this will provide flexibility to attend a session without the added commitment of term structured lessons. Each session will consist of learning basic horsemanship, how to tack up your own horse, mount independently followed by a riding lesson. The session may not include a full 50 minute riding session depending on instructor and student's learning goals.


Current levels for weekends for remaining spots (for weekends - email to enquire regarding weekdays):

Saturdays 

8am Beginner

9am Intermediate/Advanced

10am Intermediate/Advanced

11am Beginner

1pm Intermediate/Advanced

2pm-5pm All Levels 


Sundays

Mix of all levels for all times


THINGS TO NOTE: 

1. Wear long pants and covered shoes such as runners/sneakers or boots. Inappropriate clothing will result in forfeit of the session.

2. We will provide helmets.

3. Arrival time is 15 minutes prior to start time. Latecomers will result in forfeit of the session.

4. Horses and ponies are allocated based on availability, experience, height and weight. Any special requests may not be guaranteed for safety of the session.

5. Instructors will take photos and/or videos only if requested and can be downloaded via a link emailed to you automatically after each session within 48 hours.

6. No spectators will be allowed to enter the riding area. We offer pony rides for younger children and private equine assisted sessions if the participant requires a support worker or guardian present.

**IMPORTANT: For bookings with less than a day notice or same day bookings, please call ahead to confirm availability (Office Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm). Public holiday surcharges apply.
**Please note the address in the confirmation email and ensure the Smart Waiver is signed prior to attendance.
